"There is a time for everything...

and a season for every activtiy under heaven:" Ecc. 3:1 NIV

A time to gather...that is what Jerome and I and the kids did one wintery afternoon recently. We heat the house with wood and had run out of our stock from the fruits of our summer labor. The new wood piled high should last through the rest of the season, although with temps down in the single digits lately we are going through alot of it. It seems like it's always "time to fill the wood box". This happens to be Andrew's new favorite phrase~NOT. It feels good to know that by our own hands we can provide for our family.

Meet The Bade's

I recently had the privilege of meeting some of Jerome's lifelong friends. While he lived up north in Roger's City he became acquainted with Mel and Lottie Bade. They became spiritual parents to him and Mel and Lottie's sons (the Bade Boys) became as brothers. They remained close through the years, losing touch in the not too distant past but were happily re-united recently. Jerome and I spent a good part of a weekend with Jerry and Robin Bade (one of the Bade Boys) and their children. Robin's mom Pat and brother Kurt were also on hand during our visit. That was a bonus! We had such a wonderful time. I was welcomed with open arms and accepted immediately. It felt as if I was coming home. With my own extended family so far out of state this was wonderful. We ate much and played cards until late and talked, talked, laughed, and talked some more. We are all looking forward to getting together again real soon.

This is the rock that Jerome's son Jake named George. When it was named it was not painted, but somewhere along the way it gained it's smile.
