Logen has been stationed in Del. at Dover AFB. He recently traveled to his new duty station at the begining of Jan. and on the way he stopped at my sister's in VA. We found out that their home is 2 1/2 hours from where he is stationed. He then went back to visit in Feb. when my mom went out to visit my sister. Jenny and Logen are up the tree. Logen decided to show Jenny one afternoon. Steph told the girls to go play outside and Logen said "go climb a tree". Steph replied "go out with them". Jenny said "ok Logen". She just loves her big cousin. Logen has had the agility and ability to climb since a todler, so to shimmy up was no big deal for him. Jenny shimmied right up along with him. It will be wonderful to see them all again this Aug. when we go out for vacation. Logen will be coming home in April for his girlfriend's senior prom so we are excited about that also.
This has been my constant state of expression for the past week as I took test #3 and then my final exam, plus my last clinical rotation for my Medical Surgical #2 rotation. I am finished with it and now have a week off before I start two more classes.
MOON. We were able to experience a total lunar eclipse of Wed. 2/20/08. Jordan had to have pics and document what he saw throughout the covering of the moon. The eclipse went on for about and hour after he finally fell into slumber (10:15pm). It was cool to watch the action every few minutes.
Andrew started our day of science with the can of pop precariouly teetering on the side table in the living room. Being the mom that I am I was sure it was going to fall when I walked by and saw it sitting there. Andrew was quick to reassure that because of the dynamics of physical science, the amount of the pop left in the can and the angle that it is sitting no spillage was going to happen. It was true. He's so smart!
What do you do when your wood supply runs low/out? Turn on the good old thermostat right? NOPE....go get more wood. Jerome, Andrew and Jordan went this past weekend for another load of wood. The box was running low and our outside supply pretty much depleted. Unfortunately this load is not split. Which means that the splitting of the wood to fit into the stove has to be done by hand. Andrew is doing that this afternoon...with temps hovering around 25* and snow/wind blowing feeling like single digits www.weathermichigan.com . We are all pretty burnt out with what MotherNature is throwing at us...we spend much time closing our eyes and imagining sunny skies and sandy beaches http://www.cancun.com/cancun/ .
