Blizzard 2011- Part 2

As the day turned to afternoon, the skies started to clear and it became a beautiful sight outside our doors!

Outside the front door, with the snow drift blocking the screen door.

I couldn't open the screen door, so I just stuck my
camera outside and pointed and shot

The only neighbors out today,
good thing they have their own fur coats to wear

THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS FRIGHTFUL,

BUT THE FIRE INSIDE'S DELIGHTFUL...

February 2, 2011. Looks like the weather persons got this one right on the money. Jerome had to go into work on this day and had to snowblow his way to his truck to get out of the driveway. The upstairs and downstairs doors were blocked by 2-4 foot snow drifts, the picnic table has at least 3 feet of drifts near it and the dog pen looks as if it's floating on a sea of white. Travel was at a very slow pace-it took Jerome 3x longer to get to work today than usual (20 min ride). I am thrilled I don't have to go anywhere today, that I have power and the house is toasty warm thanks to our wood stove and stock pile of wood!

Path that Jerome snowblew before leaving for work.
Already filling back in due to snow drifts after 3o min.
